WordPress performance update

The WFU WordPress sites are stable after intermittent performance issues over the past 24 hours. The cause traces to a problem with our WP Cron replacement — the system that runs scheduled background tasks across the sites. UMC and Information Systems have addressed the issue and are adding additional safeguards this week..
