WP 2.11.9 Deployment – Wake Alert

In this deployment cycle, our focus has continued to be on maintaining and optimizing our codebase to ensure stability and performance. While there are no major new features to announce, we continue to dedicate significant time and effort to maintaining our custom plugins and themes.

With over 30 custom plugins and 8 custom themes in our ecosystem, ongoing maintenance is essential to keeping everything running smoothly. This cycle, we focused on Wake Alert, our emergency notification system.

Wake Alert has been updated to include improvements that make the system more reliable, efficient, and easier to manage during emergencies. Enhancements ensure expired messages are automatically removed, and administrators have more flexibility in managing alert content. Additionally, accessibility improvements help ensure important information is clear and available to everyone. We’ve also decluttered the PPRD environment so that only currently active alerts will appear on the PPRD site.
