Our 2.10.14 deployment brought several plugin updates, including those managing social feeds on our websites. We encountered an issue with Facebook feeds, but it has been resolved. If you’re using social feeds, please remember to periodically check that they’re properly connected and functioning. For instructions and the license key, refer to our guide.

Recent Site Launches

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Wake Forest’s new News site, featuring a fresh design and enhanced browsing experience. This is the latest in a series of sites our team has helped launch in the WFU WordPress environment, which also includes the Law School, Inside WFU and Study Abroad. We encourage you to explore these beautifully designed sites for inspiration.

These sites make use of many of our latest blocks and style options, like the Button Card Block and the Heading + Image Hover Block. You can learn more about these features in the WordPress Guide or contact us for additional training.

(Fun note: So far this fall, numerous sites have launched (or re-launched), making almost 300 sites live in the environment.)

Siteimprove Training Available

This fall, members of the Strategic Communications’ digital team and Information System’s technology accessibility team will offer Siteimprove training for new WordPress site content managers. Siteimprove is a comprehensive platform for web optimization and management available to Wake Forest faculty and staff who manage website content in our theme.

If you’re interested, please contact Pete Nowak at nowakpj@wfu.edu by October 4 for more information.

For more resources, check out our WordPress Guide, and as always, feel free to reach out using the Web Request Form if you have any questions.
