WordPress Outage Update

Here’s an update on yesterday’s intermittent outages for WordPress sites. Sites are currently stable.

The University Advancement WordPress instance suffered a malicious attack that was successfully blocked by IS. The attack also created a large volume of logged errors in the database that produced the intermittent outages. We have implemented a solution to prevent this type of outage in the future.
